Tha carter 3 review
Tha Carter 3 is the 7th studio album by the best rapper alive Lil Wayne. Tha Carter 3 won the Grammy for best rap album in 2008 in which Lil Wayne really did deserve. The first single released from the album was the smash hit Lollipop. It reached number one in the USA and had success in other countries as well. Lollipop is an amazing song by Lil Wayne as it showed a different side to his rapping technique. It is also the first time Lil Wayne uses the voice box which is perfect for the song. The 2nd single that was released was A Milli A Milli is another amazing song from the album and classed as one of Lil Wayne’s best songs beat wise and lyrics wise. The song received loads of awards. Blender magazine ranked the song the number 1 song of 2008. Rolling Stone magazine named the song the 63rd best song of the 2000 decade. The Time critic Josh Tyrangiel named the song the 4th best song of 2008. The song was also ranked as the number one song of 2008 in the MTV news Bigger Than Sound Poll. The song is just amazing and any Weezy fan will love it. The 3rd single released was Got Money and is another great song from the album. Lil Wayne again uses the voice box along with T Pain to create a great song that is full of laughter a load of auto tune and of course a lot of money. All though the song didn’t win any awards it still sold 2 million copies in the United States of America. The 4th and final single released was Miss Officer another great song from the album. The song is about Lil Wayne being arrested by a hot female officer. The beats and the lyrics to the song are catchy. Lil Wayne gets Bobby V to sing the catchy chorus. Again the song didn’t win any awards but the song sold 1 million copies in the United States of America for producers for the album. Lil Wayne has got some of the best rap producers in the rap game right now. He has got Birdman, Head of Cash Money Records and Lil Wayne’s manager he has got David Banner one of the south's biggest producers and biggest rappers. He has got Jim Jonsin one of Florida's best known producers and one of raps most used. He has got Kanye West one of the biggest rappers on the planet. He has got Robin Thicke he is known for producing more RnB type of hits than rap. He has also got rap legend and rap favourite Swizz Beatz. Swizz is a true legend in the rap game. Lil Wayne also has some big guest features on the album. He has Jay Z on the track Mr Carter, he’s got T Pain on the track Got Money, he’s got Babyface on the track Comfortable, he’s got Robin Thicke on the track Tie My Hands, he’s got Bobby V on the track Miss Officer, he’s got D smith on the track Shoot Me Down, he’s got Static Major on the track Lollipop, he’s got Brisco and Busta Rhymes on the track La La, he’s got Betty Wright on the track Playing with Fire, he’s got Juelz Santana and Fabulous on the track You aint got Nuthin. Everything about the album is just brilliant from Wayne’s rhymes to the beats. No other rap album could compare to Tha Carter 3 that year. When you listen to it you can tell he put his heart and soul into the project and you can just tell he wanted to create a classic album and he did just that and the album still makes lil Wayne the best rapper alive. There is still no other rapper who can beat or touch him. Lil Wayne started from the bottom and what I mean by bottom is when Cash Money Records went from a small label to a big well known label. Lil Wayne is living proof that with hard work and dedication you can create a classic and a masterpiece.
