Radio Drama

Target Audience?
I think the target audience for this radio drama is for people who love and grew up with the star wars films or people who are a big fan of sci fi movies while hearing the radio drama i think that it wouldnt appeal to children because i thought the drama had adult themes to it.

Characters?

With the characters at the start of the drama the rebels are mentioned but while they were mentioned the narratior had a sinster voice so you know that they are the bad guys. within about 1 minute you hear darth vader another famous bad guy from the films and the emporor is mentioned.

Who are they?
The three people that i mentioned were famous bad guys from the films the Famous jedi obi one is also Mentioned he is on the good side of the jedi force and the others are from the dark side of the force. i think the characters are better in the films while listening to the drama i got really bored of there voices and wanted to watch the films.

Male/ Female?

All of the characters voices i heard were males i listened to five minutes worth of the drama while listening never heard a women speak at all princess lea was not mentionted at all which i thought was strange because in star wars a new hope she was one of the main characters in the film and the series but i think they must have had limited funds for the drama.

What story is about?
the story follows the films plot from episode 4
The film begins with an opening crawl explaining that the galaxy is in a state of civil war and that spies for the Rebel Alliance have stolen plans to the Galactic Empire's Death Star, a heavily armed and armored space station capable of annihilating an entire planet. Rebel leader Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) is in possession of the plans, but her ship is captured by Imperial forces under the command of the evil lord Darth Vader (David Prowse, voiced by James Earl Jones). Before she is captured, Leia hides the plans in the memory of an astromech droid called R2-D2 (Kenny Baker), along with a holographic recording. The small droid flees to the surface of the desert planet Tatooine with fellow protocol droid C-3PO (Anthony Daniels).

Sound Effects?
The Radio drama uses sounds that you would expect from any things that is sci fi you sounds of spaceships flying darth vaders heavy breathing thats a land mark from the films you hear the sound of a lightsaber another famous sound from the films most of the radio drama just used music for its effect when the villians were talking the music was much more sinster and when the good guys were talking the music was much more happy.

How do scenes start? finish?

Most of the scenes start with the star wars theme music then the narrator who has a really deep voice about what is going on in the drama then we he stops talking the scene changes you know the scene changes when the music changes then the narrator starts talking again and thats about it

Does it appeal to me?
While listening to the drama it didnt appeal to me at all but i am a star wars fan i would rather watch the films while listening to the drama i found the whole thing very boring i coudnt picture in my head what was going on but with the films i can sit threre and be amazed about is going on with the story
